On December 29, a film screening organized by the EEU Movie Club was held in the conference hall at East European University (EEU).
This informal club, established at EEU, regularly organizes events aimed at improving foreign language proficiency, particularly enhancing listening and speaking skills in English.
As part of the screening, and to create a festive Christmas and New Year atmosphere, members of the university’s administrative staff watched the 2022 animated adaptation of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. The film tells a timeless story about kindness, morality, and the spirit of the New Year. It is a musical adaptation centered on the selfish and miserly Ebenezer Scrooge, who, on a cold Christmas Eve, finds himself alone and is given a chance to reflect on his past and change his future before time runs out.
Guests attending the screening were treated to popcorn and festive holiday sweets by the club.
The event concluded with a discussion session.
