Ethics Committee

The Ethics Committee:

• reviews ethics-related complaints and concerns submitted in good faith;
• issues conclusions and recommendations to relevant University bodies and structural units;
• promotes ethical culture, integrity, transparency and preventive approaches within the University community.

The Ethics Committee operates on a regular meeting schedule and convenes once per month. Extraordinary meetings may be held when necessary

Complaints may be submitted anonymously. However, providing contact details may facilitate clarification of additional information and support effective review.

Confidentiality and Non-Retaliation

East European University ensures:

• confidential handling of all ethics complaints and reports;
• protection from retaliation for individuals who submit complaints in good faith or cooperate with the review process.

Any form of retaliation constitutes an ethical breach and may result in disciplinary action.

Ethics Complaint Review Process

The Ethics Committee:

1. receives and assesses complaints within its mandate;
2. requests additional information when necessary;
3. reviews cases impartially, collegially and confidentially;
4. issues conclusions or recommendations to relevant University bodies.
