The Ethics Committee is a permanent collegial body of East European University responsible for overseeing organizational and institutional ethics.

It reviews ethics-related complaints and concerns and promotes integrity, transparency and ehical culture within the University.

You may contact the Ethics Committee regarding:

• possible breaches of ethical conduct;
• conflicts of interest;
• discrimination;
• harassment or unethical behavior;
• administrative or institutional ethics issues.

The Ethics Committee does not review research ethics matters. Research ethics is regulated separately through the University’s dedicated research ethics mechanisms.

Ethics complaints or concerns may be submitted by:

• students;
• academic staff;
• administrative staff;
• any other individual who has information about a potential ethical breach within the University.

Yes. Complaints may be submitted anonymously. However, providing contact details may help clarify additional information and support effective review of the case.

The Ethics Committee ensures:

• confidential handling of all complaints and reports;
• protection of personal data;
• use of information solely for review and follow-up purposes.

Personal data is not disclosed, except where required by law.

The University strictly prohibits any form of retaliation against individuals who submit ethics complaints in good faith or cooperate with the review process.

Retaliation constitutes an ethical breach and may result in disciplinary action.

• An initial assessment is conducted within 10 working days of receiving a complaint.

A decision is taken within 30 working days from the start of the review process.
