Republic of Armenia Scholarship Programme 2026–2027

The Republic of Armenia Scholarship Programme is an international academic mobility and scholarship initiative.

All citizens of Georgia, as well as holders of a Neutral Identity Card and/or Neutral Travel Document, are equally eligible to participate in the programme in accordance with its established terms and conditions, without discrimination on the grounds of race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, place of birth, or any other status.

Under the programme, 10 annual scholarships are awarded to applicants pursuing Master’s degree programmes across all academic disciplines.

Successful candidates will be provided with the following benefits by the Armenian side:

  • Full or partial exemption from tuition fees at a public higher education institution in the Republic of Armenia, covering up to AMD 1,000,000;
  • A monthly scholarship in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Armenia, amounting to up to AMD 50,000;
  • Accommodation in a student residence hall;
  • Access to libraries, archives, laboratories, and other academic facilities and resources.

 

To participate in the competition, applicants are required to complete the application forms provided by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia. Applications must be submitted electronically through the dedicated online registration platform: https://studyabroad.mes.gov.ge.

By submitting an application through the electronic system, applicants consent to the processing of their personal data by the Ministry, where necessary for the purposes of administering the programme, in accordance with the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection. This includes the transfer of the personal data of nominated candidates to the Armenian authorities.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree;
  • Demonstrate proficiency in either English or Russian.

Please note: Nomination by the Ministry does not constitute admission. Final enrolment is subject to acceptance by the respective Armenian higher education institution. Applicants are required to provide evidence of sufficient proficiency in the language of instruction (English or Russian). Where deemed necessary, the host institution may require candidates to undergo an internal entrance examination and/or an interview prior to making the final admission decision.

Required Application Documents
Applicants must submit the following documents:

 

  • A copy of a valid passport;
  • Four passport-size photographs (3 × 4 cm);
  • A Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English or Russian;
  • A copy of the Bachelor’s degree diploma together with the academic transcript, officially translated and authenticated in accordance with international requirements (Apostille);
  • A medical certificate confirming the applicant’s general state of health (the certificate may also be issued by a medical institution in the Republic of Armenia);
  • Completed Application Form No. 1 and Application Form No. 2.

Please note: Applicants may apply to any public higher education institution in the Republic of Armenia except:

  • French University in Armenia;
  • Russian-Armenian University;
  • American University of Armenia.

Application Deadline

The deadline for submitting applications is 30 July 2026 (inclusive).
