Bela Tinikashvili

Doctor of Architecture;
Specialty: Architecture;
Member of the Georgian Union of Architects.

Dr. Bela Tinikashvili is a member of the board of the Georgian Union of Architects, head of the bachelor’s program in Architecture at East European University. She is actively engaged in pedagogical and professional activities. In the past years she was the architect of construction companies – “Seven Sky”, NNLE “Engineering Idea”, architectural design companies – “Modulion” and “Khuri XXI”.

Dr. Bela Tinikashvili has published numerous scientific papers. She is the participat of local and international conferences, including the annual International Conference on American Studies. Her field of interest is: ecological architecture and the use of renewable energy in architecture.

Besarion Tatishvili

Besarion Tatishvili (Associate Professor)

Doctor of Architecture

Specialization: Architecture

Director of ,,Best Architecture“ LLC

Besarion Tatishvili is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Business and Engineering of East European University. He is actively engaged in both teaching and research and possesses extensive practical experience in the field of architecture. Over the years, he has worked at the City Planning Department, the British company B&V (Blek & Vich), and Iberia Construction, and also led the architectural studio of ,,Kurortmsheni“ LLC. Since 2006, he has served as the Director of ,,Best Architecture“ LLC.

From 2011 to 2021, he was a member of the Board of the Union of Architects of Georgia and chaired its Ethics Committee. He is the recipient of multiple architectural awards, including the “Golden Capital” and “Best Project of the Year” competitions.

Revaz Khasia

REVAZ KHASIA (PROFESSOR)  

Specialty: Architecture

Mr. Revaz Khasia has extensive professional and pedagogical experience. He is the co-author of the Architect-Technician’s Handbook published by the National Center For Educational Quality Enhancement. He actively participates in various projects, architectural-creative competitions, exhibitions and symposia. He has received I Prize at International Exhibition-Competition “Olympiad”, Grand Prix in Sculpture at International Exhibition “Blue” Gallery, Triple I Prize at International Christmas Festival “Blue” Gallery, Grand Prix – work “Muse” at the International Sculpture Symposium (Nadiotad, Hungary). He was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Georgia for his contribution to the development of Georgian fine arts. He has been teaching in various higher education institutions of Georgia for many years.

 

Merab bolkvadze

MERAB BOLKVADZE (PROFESSOR)

Doctor of Architecture;
Specialty: Architecture;

Dr. Merab Bolkvadze is a professor at the Faculty of Business and Engineering at East European University, head of the Bachelor’s program in Architecture, and an architect with extensive professional and pedagogical experience. For many years, he led the Tbilisi Planning Division of the Tbilkalakproject Urban Planning Department and has also been involved in teaching at various higher education institutions in Georgia.

Dr. Bolkvadze has been actively engaged in scientific research in the field of architecture. He has led the development of land-use master plans for the cities of Zugdidi and Mtskheta, numerous zoning regulation plans, and individual urban development projects, a significant number of which were completed. His work also includes the redevelopment of the Didi Digomi and Varketili-3 districts, reconstruction of Avchala Highway, several hotels and multi-functional buildings in Tbilisi and Batumi, as well as international projects in Benghazi and Sochi.

He has received numerous national and international awards, including the Creative Union of Architects of Georgia Prize, the Bronze Medal at the International Competition for the Urban Development Concept of Tbilisi, and First Prize for the Updated Land-Use Master Plan of Tbilisi. Notably, he is the author of the current Tbilisi Land-Use Master Plan, which guides the city’s sustainable urban development.

Pavle Sakhanberidze

Pavle Sakhanberidze (Associate Professor)

Doctor of Architecture

Specialization: Architecture

Pavle Sakhanberidze is a Doctor of Architecture and an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Business and Engineering of East European University. His extensive professional and academic career encompasses the fields of architecture, design management, and urban planning.

He is actively involved in higher education and conducts teaching activities in the fields of architecture and engineering. His academic work is focused on students’ professional development, the implementation of contemporary methodologies, and the advancement of architectural and engineering education.

Pavle Sakhanberidze has extensive experience in the management of architectural and engineering projects. Since 2014, he has been the Head of the “Projects Development Fund” LLC. Throughout his professional career, he has held various positions, including Lead Architect, Chief Architect, Design Manager, Head of Quality Management and Quality Control, and Spatial Planner. His professional activities cover both architectural projects implemented in the private sector and participation in spatial planning and urban development processes within the public sector.

His research and professional interests include architectural management, quality management systems, digital (BIM) modeling, and urban development.

Pavle Sakhanberidze actively participates in scientific conferences, professional workshops, and international academic events. His research activities and presentations focus on contemporary issues related to architectural project quality management, the application of digital technologies, and the safety of critical infrastructure.

Eka Chkhaidze

Eka Chkhaidze (Assistant)

Field: Architecture

Eka Chkhaidze is an architect with extensive professional experience in the field of architectural design since 1997. Throughout her professional career, she has worked in both public and private design organizations, contributing to the development of architectural projects of various scales and functions. Over the years, she has collaborated with N. Laghidze Creative Studio, the Department of Georgian Railway, LLC “Deltaproekt-2000”, LLC “Artstudio Project”, Association “ATU”, LLC “Burji”, LLC “Spectri”, and the Georgian International Architecture and Construction Design Company. Since 2017, she has continued her professional practice as an independent architect.

In 2003, as a co-author of the project “Batumi Railway Station for 150 Passengers,” she was awarded a First Degree Diploma in the “Best Project of the Year” competition organized by the Union of Architects. In 2009, she received a Second Degree Diploma in the Competition for the Reconstruction of the Youth Alley in Rustavi, organized by Rustavi City Municipality.

 

Alongside her professional architectural practice, since 2026 she has been serving as an Assistant at the Faculty of Business and Engineering of East European University, where she is involved in the educational process.

As part of her continuous professional development, she has participated in international professional events, including the Conference of the International Association of Architectural Unions (МАСА) and the Forum of Architects of the Black Sea Basin Countries (FABSR).
