Shalva Skhirtladze (Assistant Professor)

Shalva Skhirtladze has been practicing at Akhal Mezera Eye Clinic since 2015, and since 2021, he has served as the Head of the Vitreoretinal Surgery Department at the same clinic. He holds a state certificate in Ophthalmology from the Ministry of Labour, Health, and Social Affairs of Georgia. He has been engaged in academic/teaching activities since 2021.

Shalva Skhirtladze actively participates in both international and local professional development programs. He has completed a qualification advancement course in surgical and therapeutic management of the retinal layer at Narayana Nethralaya Eye Institute, India, as well as a cataract surgery qualification advancement course, specifically in phacoemulsification and tunnel cataract techniques, at Arasan Eye Hospital in Tamil Nadu, India.
