The second meeting in the series of workshops organized by the PMSW Scientific Research Center was held on May 29, 2024. This workshop, an initiative of the Physical, Mental, and Social Well-being Scientific Research Center (PMSW) and organized by the Lifelong Learning Center (LLC), focused on the well-being of academic staff.
The event was attended by students and staff of East European University. Speakers shared their insights, practical experiences, and future plans with the audience.
The workshop was opened by Professor Kakhaber Lazarashvili, the rector of East European University and head of the PMSW Scientific Research Center.
The main presentation was delivered by Natia Gegelashvili, a researcher at the PMSW Scientific Research Center, on “Factors Affecting the Well-being of Academic Staff.” This study, conducted within the center’s scope, will be published in a special edition of the highly-rated scientific journal of Sorbonne University, “International Journal of Health, Wellness, and Society,” in September of this year.
Dr Giorgi Tsiklauri, assistant professor of East European University, Doctor of social sciences, discussed the psychological foundations and causes of the study’s results.
The workshop concluded with a closing discussion, where the speakers’ answered questions from the audience in detail.
