Accessibility-Oriented Services

East European University provides an inclusive and accessible environment aimed at ensuring equal access for all students and staff to the university’s services, infrastructure, and educational resources.

The university’s accessibility policy is based on the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion, and encompasses both physical infrastructure and digital and remote services, ensuring flexible and broad access to university resources.

EEU develops individual study plans for students with special educational needs.

Individual Study Plan

Taking into account students’ individual needs, the university provides the opportunity to develop an Individual Study Plan (ISP).

Individual study plans may be developed for the following categories of students:

  • Students with special educational needs

  • Representatives of ethnic minorities

  • Students enrolled without passing the Unified National or Common Master’s Examinations

  • Students participating in exchange programs

  • Students transferring through mobility or internal mobility

  • Students with academic difficulties

  • Students with outstanding academic achievements

  • Convicted persons

The Individual Study Plan ensures flexible planning of the learning process and individualized academic support tailored to students’ needs.

Accessible Infrastructure

East European University provides a physically accessible environment adapted for persons with disabilities.

The university infrastructure includes:

  • Ramps and adapted entrances

  • Elevators to facilitate movement within university buildings

  • Adapted restrooms

  • Designated parking spaces

  • Continuous improvement of physical spaces in accordance with universal design principles

The university continuously improves its infrastructure in order to increase the accessibility of campus spaces and create a fully inclusive environment.

Assistive Technologies and Digital Accessibility

The university provides a range of assistive technologies and digital services that help ensure students’ access to learning resources and university services.

These include:

  • Screen magnification software (e.g., ZoomText-type programs)

  • Audio amplification devices

  • Subtitling features in online platforms

  • Digital signature services

  • The university’s electronic learning platform

These technological solutions enable students to access learning resources and university services in a flexible and accessible format.

Remote and Hybrid Services

The university provides a variety of remotely accessible services, allowing students to receive support without needing to be physically present on campus.

Remote services include:

  • Academic and administrative online consultations

  • Remote access to student services

  • Online training sessions and workshops

  • Public lectures, conferences, and university events, often conducted in hybrid format

The university actively uses Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and the EEU-EL learning management system, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and flexible access to university services

Digital Learning and Support Platforms

The university operates the EEU-EL electronic learning management system, which allows students to:

  • access learning materials and educational resources

  • benefit from individualized examination arrangements

  • receive information related to the learning process

  • communicate with academic staff

  • access university administrative services remotely

East European University is an official Microsoft partner and uses the remote learning program within the Office 365 A1 licensing framework.

The university also has a Digital Learning Development and Technical Support Team, which provides:

  • training sessions and consultations for students and staff

  • video tutorials and user guides

  • technical support

  • development and improvement of digital learning resources and online services
