Dr. Tengiz Zaalishvili is the Head of the Department of Genomics of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biophysics of Georgian Academy of Sciences. He is the member of Georgian Biochemical Society, Corresponding Member of Georgian Academy of Sciences and the member of International Brain Research Organization. In different years he was the director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biophysics of the Georgian Academy of Sciences and a senior scientist, head of the laboratory. He holds the academic degree of Doctor of Biology. He has many years of experience in scientific research and teaching.
Dr. Tengiz Zaalishvili is the author of many scientific works and papers. In 2000 he was selected as an expert at the Nobel Committee for Chemistry at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, responsible for the selection of candidates for the Chemistry Prize.
