East European University (EEU) participated in the CIFTIS 2024 International Exhibition, held in Beijing, China, on September 12-16, 2024. CIFTIS (China International Fair for Trade in Service) is one of the largest exhibitions, covering nine key directions: education, medicine, engineering, finances, culture, tourism, sports, media, and environmental protection. The event attracted over 900,000 visitors from more than 80 countries.
EEU was represented by its Rector, Kakhaber Lazarashvili, and the Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences, Ketevan Aptarashvili. The Rector was invited as a special guest and delivered a speech at the exhibition’s opening ceremony on behalf of the Georgian delegation. In his speech, Professor Kakhaber Lazarashvili highlighted opportunities for enhancing future collaboration, creating an intercultural learning environment, sharing educational resources, fostering research cooperation, and promoting exchange programs in various fields.
During the exhibition, EEU representatives introduced the university’s educational programs, advantages, and offerings. They held meetings with interested parties and various local organizations. The exhibition provided significant opportunities for participants to learn more about Georgia’s higher education institutions, share cultural experiences, and establish potential partnerships.
At the closing ceremony, East European University was honored with the Excellent Exhibitor award by the exhibition organizers.
