The East European University announces an open competition for the vacant academic positions of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor

1. Basic (legal) requirements:

• Academic / scientific degree: academic degree of Doctor or equivalent;
• Scientific-pedagogical work: at least 6 years of experience in scientific-pedagogical work in an authorized or equivalent higher education institution;
• Medical activity: At least 9 years of experience in medical practice (only for applicants of clinical specialization in the field of healthcare).
  2. Additional (university) requirements:
• Syllabus(es), which is assessed by the adequacy of their content, learning outcomes and achievement methods;
• Scientific papers published during the last 10 years;
• Scientific scholarships, grants, inventions and other professional activities during the last 5 years;
• Participation in scientific conferences and professional development events during the last 5 years;
• Experience of teaching English / Proof of English language competence (only for candidates applying for positions in the field of Healthcare).

A person selected as an Associate Professor at the university shall meet the following qualification requirements:

1. Basic (legal) requirements:

• Academic / scientific degree: academic degree of Doctor or equivalent;
• Scientific-pedagogical work: at least 3 years of experience in scientific-pedagogical work in an authorized or equivalent higher education institution;
• Medical activity: At least 5 years of experience in medical practice (only for applicants of clinical specialization in the field of healthcare).

• Scientific papers published during the last 10 years;

A person selected as an Assistant Professor at the university for a term of 4 (four) years shall meet the following qualification requirements:

1. Basic (legal) requirements:

• Academic / scientific degree: academic degree of Doctor or equivalent;
• Medical activity: At least 5 years of experience in medical practice (only for applicants of clinical specialization in the field of healthcare).
  2. Additional (university) requirements:
• Syllabus(es), which is assessed by the adequacy of their content, learning outcomes and achievement methods;
• Experience of teaching English / Proof of English language competence (only for candidates applying for positions in the field of Healthcare).

Note: A qualified professional may hold an academic position. The person’s qualification may be confirmed by professional experience, special training and / or publications. A person who has the necessary competence to develop the learning outcomes provided by the program is considered to have the relevant qualification.

Those applying for the position of Professor / Associate Professor must submit the following documents to the Commission:

11. Information on scientific papers adequate for the competitive position / field (in the author’s point of view), published during the last 10 years, including the scientific paper that best reflects his / her scientific activity;
12. The syllabus(es) of the relevant course(s) developed by the applicant (in electronic and printed form; in case of sending by e-mail only in electronic form);
13. Information confirming scientific scholarships, grants, inventions and other professional activities during the last 5 years;
14. Information confirming participation in scientific conferences and professional development events during the last 5 years;
15. Proof of English language proficiency and / or English language teaching experience (only for candidates applying for positions in the field of Healthcare);
16. Copy of the state certificate on the right to practice medicine (only for applicants of clinical specialization in the field of healthcare);
17. Document proving the medical activity during the last 9 years in case of applying for the vacant position of professor/ during the last 5 years in case of applying for the vacant position of associate professor (only for applicants of clinical specialization in the field of healthcare).

The competition is held in three stages (review of the applicants’ documentation by the competition commission, initial evaluation; interview with the selected applicants; conciliation, decision making) from December 4, 2020 to December 16, 2020.
