Tariel Elashvili holds a Doctorate in Education Sciences and is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Education Sciences at East European University. He has extensive professional experience in leadership and organizational management.
Prior to pursuing an academic career, Tariel Elashvili served in the Georgian Defence Forces from 2006 to 2019, holding a range of progressively responsible positions, including Air Defence Radar Operations Engineer, Combat Vehicle Commander, Battery Commander, Battalion Chief of Staff, and Battalion Commander. Through these roles, he gained extensive experience in leadership, strategic planning, operational management, and personnel development. As part of his professional development, he has completed training programmes in military leadership, aviation, and international operations in Georgia, Poland, Germany, and the United States.
His research interests include simulation-based learning, digital and game-based learning methods, student-centred learning, and contemporary approaches to teaching and learning in higher education. Within these areas, he has conducted experimental research to evaluate the effectiveness of different teaching and learning methods.
Tariel Elashvili has participated in more than five international and national scientific conferences, as well as various seminars and workshops, and has contributed to the work of different organizing committees. He has published research articles in international academic journals indexed in the Scopus and ERIH PLUS databases.
