East European University (EEU) hosted Olga Leshchanskaya, Head of Quality Management at FIBAA, on a working visit.
As part of the visit, Ms. Leshchanskaya held a series of working meetings with David Cherkezishvili, Rector of East European University, Kakha Lazarishvili, Vice-Rector, as well as senior representatives of the University’s faculties and administration.
The meetings focused on contemporary approaches to quality assurance in higher education, emerging European trends, opportunities for strengthening international cooperation, and the exchange of institutional experience and expertise. Particular attention was devoted to further developing the partnership between East European University and FIBAA and to expanding opportunities for the professional development of EEU academic and administrative staff.
The discussions also addressed a number of significant and topical issues in higher education, including the role and importance of Digital Education in contemporary teaching and learning, European approaches to quality enhancement in higher education, FIBAA’s assessment criteria, and contemporary quality assurance mechanisms and practices.
The participants further discussed opportunities for organizing webinars and other professional development activities for EEU staff, aimed at facilitating the exchange of knowledge and international expertise.
The outcomes of the visit are expected to further strengthen cooperation between East European University and FIBAA and provide a basis for the development and implementation of joint initiatives and projects. Such cooperation will contribute to the continuous enhancement of quality assurance practices at EEU, the exchange of international expertise, and the advancement of high-quality, sustainable, and contemporary higher education.
