International Scientific Conference for Pupils and Students: „Young Scientists for a Better Future of the Planet“

As part of Young Scientists’ Week 2024, initiated by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, the East European University is holding an international scientific conference for pupils and students on June 17 of this year titled „Young Scientists for a Better Future of the Planet.“

The purpose of Young Scientists’ Week is to promote science, technology, and innovation in Georgia, showcase the country’s scientific and innovative potential, introduce researchers’ achievements to the general public, and motivate and support young scientists.

Accordingly, the international scientific conference for pupils and students, „Young Scientists for a Better Future of the Planet“, aims to stimulate the joint involvement of pupils and students in scientific activities and popularize science. The conference will promote dialogue and cooperation between representatives of different disciplines.

We invite all students, both Georgian and international, as well as young scientists, to engage in the academic environment and present their latest research in various fields.

In addition to the scientific program, the conference will host interactive workshops and panel discussions:

  • Promoting the deepening integration of Georgian universities into the European research space.
  • Supporting close links with industry for research and innovation activities.

Target audience of the conference: pupils, students, young researchers, and the general public.

Conference format: face-to-face and remote.

Working language: Georgian, English

Regulations: report – 15 minutes; Question and answer – 5 min.

To participate in the conference, it is necessary to:

  • Pre-register as an attendee or speaker at the following link: https://forms.gle/gpXMPPVn7aAKiese8
  • Submit a report (presentation, poster, video clip, etc.) and abstract in Georgian or English to the email address: Education@eeu.edu.ge (indicating the name of the conference in the subject line).”

Note: General requirements for submitting an abstract: paper size: A4, file type: pdf, words: 150 to 300, font: Times New Roman; Text size: 12, spacing: 1.5;

Important dates:
  • Deadline for pre-registration – June 7, 2024;
  • Deadline for presentation – June 12, 2024;
  • Conference holding period – June 17, 2024;

Note: the report submitted after the specified deadline will not be considered! Successful abstracts will be selected on the basis of a blind review by the academic committee of the conference.  The detailed programme will be sent to the conference participants in advance via Email.

Awarding of participants and Conference proceedings:

Conference participants will be given certificates and awarded with symbolic prizes;

Conference proceedings will be published
