On January 24, 2026, within the framework of International Education Day, the Faculty of Education Sciences of East European University (EEU) hosted the third annual joint conference of education graduates, students, and employers – Professional Development Day 2026.
The aim of the conference was to promote the exchange of practical and research experience among graduates, employers, and students; to encourage joint engagement in scientific and professional activities; to identify key challenges in the field of education; to explore innovative solutions; and to support students’ and graduates’ professional development and career readiness. The conference was also dedicated to International Education Day.
The event was opened by the Rector of East European University, Professor Kakhaber Lazarashvili. Welcoming remarks were delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences, Associate Professor Ketevan Aptarashvili.
Employers’ Forum
As part of the event, an Employers’ Forum was organized with the participation of EEU partner educational institutions. Representatives of schools and educational organizations presented their institutions, discussed current demands of the education sector, and shared insights on career opportunities, recruitment expectations, and professional competencies required for future teachers and education professionals.
The forum served as a platform for direct dialogue between employers and students, enabling participants to learn about potential employment pathways, internship opportunities, and collaboration prospects with leading schools. Employers also provided practical recommendations on career development and highlighted the skills and qualifications most valued in the contemporary educational environment.

Through presentations and discussions, participating institutions introduced their educational models, working environments, and employment opportunities for EEU graduates and students, strengthening the connection between the university and the labor market.
